The Delaware salary schedule for aides will be increasing after 1/1/15. What this means to us is that we will see an increase in the state portion of our salary after the 1st of the year.
Accordingly, I've been in contact with Donna Smallwood to obtain more specific information. What I have learned is that the state's increase is for half of a year. Therefore, paraeducators receiving 26 pays will see an increase in your 3/20/15 pay (13 pays at your current salary and 13 pays at your new salary). Paraeducators receiving 22 pays will see their increase on 2/20/15 (11 pays at your current salary and 11 pays at your new salary). Maple Lane Paraeducators will see your increase on 3/6/15.
As far as the amount of your individual increase, that is based on several factors and should be spelled out in an updated salary schedule. These letters are generated by payroll. Therefore, what I would suggest is if you have not received an updated salary schedule by the dates notated above, please contact me.
